Membrane separation processes

“Membrane technology covers all engineering approaches for the transport of substances between two fractions with the help of permeable membranes. In general, mechanical separation processes for separating gaseous or liquid streams use membrane technology.

Membrane separation processes operate without heating and therefore use less thermal energy than conventional thermal separation processes such as distillation, sublimation or crystallization. …. using membranes enables separations to take place that would be impossible using thermal separation methods. For example, it is impossible to separate the constituents of azeotropic liquids or solutes which form isomorphic crystals by distillation or recrystallization.”

EnviCare® Engineering GmbH has expanded its experience in the field of membrane separation technique consistently since 1992. The performing of numerous planning and approval processes, assessment of process security and development in laboratory gave us a lot of experience in membrane separation processes.

Pilot scaling in order to achieve best results

In addition we did some pilot scale projects in which leading technical universities were involved. Furthermore we implemented result gained in pilot scales on a large scale, which  ensures that we provide customized know-how in the best possible manner.
